This magazine means the world to me, particularly because it is the world. We receive submissions from Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, the U.S, Hungary, Cambodia, the U.K, Palestine, and beyond–everywhere.  Every piece brings a slice of someone’s life, a new view, a shared experience. We’re constantly inspired by the passion and perspectives of our contributors, who turn their imagination into something others can feel, understand, and relate to, even from across the globe.

This magazine is as much about the writers, photographers, and artists as it is about the readers who find themselves in these pages, who recognize their own dreams, struggles, and joys reflected back at them.

Today is Halloween in the U.S. That is, kids dress up to trick or treat for candy at their neighbors' doors. Teenagers go to parties with red cups. College girls try and dress sexy. And some of us rewatch cartoon Halloween episodes. In any case, we all get to be someone else. A vampire. The hulk. Or just a different version of ourselves. And maybe that’s what this magazine does, too. It gives us a place to transform, to step into each other's shoes, to become a part of someone else's work. It’s a space where we don’t just read about lives in places far from us; we feel them. In ISSUE 05, let's feel together.
